A bowl filled with the silence of jet black, yet exuding an innovative power reminiscent of the Koetsu of the modern age . The "Black Tea Bowl" by Yanashita Hideki is a masterpiece that combines boldness and elegance , with a sharp shape created by beveling the edges and a lustrous black color in perfect harmony. The drinking spout feels as if it has been cut off cleanly, and the foot is carefully crafted, boasting uncompromising perfection down to the smallest detail. The beauty of the shape, which makes full use of the beauty of the Japanese "black," exudes a special presence from the moment it is placed in a space, and each time you use it, you will discover a new expression.

A one-of-a-kind black tea bowl wrapped in deep silence
The black tea bowls created by Yanashita Hideki appear at first glance to be immersed in pitch-black silence, but within them lies deep artistry and powerful individuality . The moment they are placed in a space, they emit a special presence that completely changes the surrounding atmosphere, and are works of art that have the power to quietly but surely move the hearts of those who see them.

An expression that seems to condense the universe
The color black evokes the vastness of the night sky and the mystery of the deep sea. This tea bowl too changes its subtle color and texture , emerging slightly from the depths of the jet black, depending on the angle from which it is viewed and the amount of light it receives, giving it an expression that is as if the depths of space had been condensed. The shadows that appear within the soft sheen are an element that allows one to experience even more deeply the tranquil worldview of the tea ceremony.

The harmony between the sharp shape created by beveling and the lustrous black
The main feature of this black tea bowl is the beauty of its form, created by the contrast between the sharp edges created by the beveling and the lustrous black that these surfaces reflect. The multifaceted form, which looks different depending on the angle, combines boldness and elegance , giving the overall impression a sophisticated one. The drinking spout has a sharpness to it, as if it had been cleanly cut off, and the coexistence of a pleasant mouthfeel and beautiful appearance is testament to the maker's high level of skill and attention to detail.

A sense of stability created by a carefully crafted base
The base of this tea bowl has been crafted with absolutely no compromise. The height, shape and balance of the base have been carefully calculated, achieving both a sense of stability when held in the hand and visual beauty. Even the appearance when viewed from the base is highly refined, and it is clear how much thought the artist put into the overall harmony.

The power to bring tranquility and elegance to a space
A major attraction of Yanagishita's black tea bowls is that they blend naturally not only into tea rooms, but also into modern interiors. When placed on a display shelf, their black color complements the surrounding colors, creating a tranquil, elegant atmosphere. Also, when used as a practical vessel for making tea, their soft luster and shadows will add depth to the world of the tea ceremony and further enhance the spirit of hospitality. The design, woven together by the depth of the black and the sharp beveled edges, tightens up the entire space just by being there, transporting you to a special time .

Fusion of Tradition and Innovation
With Japan's long history of pottery culture as a background, the designers deliberately incorporate modern forms and sensibilities to create new beauty. By combining a free-spirited imagination that evokes the spirit of Koetsu while still living in the modern age with a refined sensibility, the black tea bowl was born, fusing the depth of traditional black with a modern form. This piece, which is innovative while remaining close to the spirit of the tea ceremony, shows the viewer new possibilities in the world of wabi-sabi, and can be said to be a work of art that transforms everyday moments into special ones .
